there are many scenic viewpoints for sunsets along the western seaboard - this one is midway up the bay area peninsula where i (misquoting mark twain) spent one of my coldest and most memorable summers
i often enjoy short flights since i dont mind sitting in a window seat - just to look out and watch the clouds go by
ofcourse the view from the ground sometimes takes my breath away - in this case, a setting sun
melting in the ocean off the coast of hawaii
a different place, a different time - the sun was setting behind some clouds creating a moving picture of radiated shadows
it's difficult to express the real beauty of it with one picture, but i will try
a panoramic view across the southwestern sky as the sun sets and the clouds turn to shades of red
