moments of calm

night-time view of eastern taipei from the observation deck of taipei 101 - this picture is, unfortunately, heavily processed

daytime view of northern and northeastern taipei

northwestern view as the sun sets - at the bend in the river at the top of this view, i remember a fantastic restaurant i used to go to as a child, although it is no longer there - one finds moments of calm where one can find it - taking pictures of interesting sights, having found a few moments away from work, travelling in a foreign land, recollecting fun episodes from the distant past ...

it is a moonless night in late autumn and a dense layer of fog is covering the valley floor - on a hilltop, gazing up at a star filled sky ....

sipping tea at an early morning dimsum restaurant - reading the local paper - slightly sleepy - thinking about what fun things to do in the day

casually strolling through an old town - unexpectedly coming across interesting sights

running into a backup at the seventh tee while playing a round of golf on a summers day - dropping the bag of clubs and laying down on the grass - looking up at the sky and feeling happy
