a familiar view

Hazy city view from the observation deck of Taipei 101. Looks like it's a hot day out there.

Warm breeze, waves lapping at the shoreline. Strangely, I think I am the only one here.

the city

A view of the city from a 26th floor hotel room. Coit tower to the left, Four Seasons to the right. It's good to visit the city every once in a while.


two more sights - macy's on the square - taking at different times - one evidently around christmas .....

decisions

It's hard to decide - so many goldfish to choose from. The shubunkins would go well with the sofa but then again, the ryukins would complement the curtains so nicely. In the end, one steps back and walks away....

and on your left

On several occasions, the plane I was on flew right over Mount Fuji. On this one occasion, I had a camera with me.

flowing water

A concrete river runs through it. It's pleasant enough, and the children and some fish seem to enjoy it.

gone forever

The old house used to sit in this lot now occupied by a multi-level apartment building. Some years back, there was a different building in this spot, and one of the old trees was still standing - now gone.

stop over

Another shorter-than-24-hour-visit to HongKong. Morning view from the 39th floor of the Island Shangri-La looking towards mid-levels and the peak. Island School appears on the extreme right just above the old swiss-german school.
